Lifeline Udan Initiative


Under the scheme Lifeline Udan, an initiative of Ministry of Civil Aviation, flights transported more than 248 tonnes of medicinal supplies across the country during this period of lockdown. More than 167 flights are under operation in this initiative.

Out of these flights, 114 flights are operated by Air India and Alliance Air, while 58 flights are operated by Indian Air Force.

All public and private airline operators and agencies are working very hard in delivering essential medical supplies all over the country for fighting against COVID-19.

Air India and India Air Force operated together for Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, North East and other island regions. Blue Dart, SpiceJet and Indigo flights are operating on commercial basis.

In the process of transporting and supplying medical equipments across the country all the safety rules and protocols are being followed at every stage from the process of collection, transportation and delivery at the destination.
