SPACEX SETS YET ANOTHER INCREDIBLE RECORD:
Space
X Falcon 9 rocket was launched on May 30 from
the Kennedy space centre, Florida. It is the major shakeup to the American
spacecraft operations as it marks the first spaceflight mission of
NASA astronauts from the U.S soil in 9 years. Falcon 9 rocket has set a series
of major records. It became the first private and operated American
spacecraft to carry humans to the orbit. On May 30 it launched two
American astronauts, namely Dough Harley and Bob Behnken.
With the launch, Falcon 9 also became the most flown operational rocket of U.S.
with an incredible total of 85 flights. Falcon 9 was developed in
2010 when it replaced Falcon 1. Space X is an American aerospace manufacturer
and space transformation services company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk with
the stated aim of “colonization
of Mars”. The company that is headquartered in Hawthome, California has
set a series of world records since its inception. It is the first private
rocket company to send astronauts to space and to return rockets back to earth.
It is also the first company to launch an object in the orbit of the
sun. Now with the launch of Falcon 9 it has set a benchmark for other
spacecraft companies.
