States in favour of lockdown extension amid rising cases of COVID-19
21 days lockdown
that started on 25 March and was scheduled to end on 14 April but now all the
states have appealed for the extension of lockdown because the number of cases
of COVID-19 are increasing day by day.
Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhara Rao and Chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj
Singh Chouhanrequested to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending the
lockdown.

Health Minister of Chhattisgarh said that now people are used to the lockdown
and we have to take advantage of this and extend the lockdown for at least
another 14 days so as to deal with the pandemic.
Last week Chief
Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh said to Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Lockdown should be lifted in three to four
phases. We have to allow all
the farmers to harvest their crop but all the school and colleges should remain
closed.
